Dr hab. inż. Ewa Felis, prof. PŚ – in 2000, she graduated at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice (Poland) in the field of Environmental Engineering with a specialization in environmental biotechnology. She obtained her PhD-degree in technical sciences in the discipline of Environmental Engineering in 2006, and DSc-degree in the same scientific discipline in 2014. Since 2019, she has been a professor at the Silesian University of Technology at the Faculty of Environmental and Power Engineering. Her research interests cover a spectrum of the environmental engineering, including application of biological, photochemical and advanced oxidation processes for the removal and transformations of anthropogenic micropollutants (mainly biologically active compounds)in the aquatic environment. She was involved in several national and international projects (e.g. POSEIDON Project; NEREUS cost action)concerning the problem of the occurrence and removal of anthropogenic micropollutions from the environment.
