About Conference

Symposium on Biotransformations for Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Industry is a place where specialists from many branches of broadly understood biotransformation can meet. This is the fifth edition of the conference, which began with the implementation of the consortium project, co-financed by the European Union, entitled "Biotransformations useful in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries", coordinated by the Wrocław University of Technology. Due to the great interest in the results of the project of scientists from outside Poland, the symposium took on an international character, with the participation of recognized global authorities in the field of biotransformation.

The fifth edition of the conference, which will be held on June 13-15, 2022, is an excellent opportunity to meet representatives of academia, scientific institutions and industry, and to discuss the latest trends in biotransformation processes, as well as prospects for the future in this field. The discussion will cover many aspects of biotransformation across industries, including the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical and food industries. This year, we also plan to raise the issue of environmental pollution with pharmaceuticals and their metabolites. As biotransformations perfectly fit into the strategy of sustainable development and green chemistry, we hope that science will meet industry and that many new areas of cooperation and long-term contacts will be created. The submitted research material will be assessed by the Scientific Committee, which will ensure a high professional level.

The conference will be honored not only by famous personalities from the world of science and industry in Poland, but also foreign guests, incl. prof. Ulf Hanefeld from TU Delft, the Netherlands and prof. Edmond Magner from the University of Limerick, Ireland. Representatives from Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany also announced their participation.
